During these weeks we are improving our skills and habilities in our Athletics lessons. We have been training athletics events such as high jump, long jump, sprints or javelin throw. For example, HIGH JUMP is an event in which our students jump over a horizontal bar without dislodging it. The jumper lands on a mat beyond the bar and they have three attempts, although they can elect to ‘pass’.
The long jump is a track and field event in which our students combine speed, strength, and agility in an attempt to leap as far as possible from a take off
point.
